Meet Your Rancher
I'm Glen Courtright. I live near South Charleston, Ohio, with my wife,
Sarah Wildman-Courtright. We have three adult children and two grandchildren.
At Green Plains Bison Ranch, we run Green Plains Cabin Bed an Breakfast, cultivate forage crops, oversee timber management, and raise bison.
I'm a military veteran, serving eight years as an enlisted man in the
U.S. Air Force and 13 years as an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
I'm a lifelong musician playing trumpet and classical mandolin.

In 2016, I started reclaiming our property after decades of neglect,
eliminating invasive plants, and rehabilitating abandoned quarry sites.

Today, the ranch benefits from silvo-pasturing and interseeding
practices to improve forage production and soil quality.
The bison herd is managed using regenerative and rotational grazing,
emphasizing animal welfare, land stewardship, and product quality.
